Dragon Creek Demo V18


Another week of bug fixes under my belt. We have the lung, cat, and european visual updates out. The wyvern will follow this week, along with tutorials for the minigames and battle.

Special codes have been added, and you can now generate pre-designed dragons if you enter the right code. Try some famous dragon names!

Here are all the changes this week


Patch notes v12 1/10/2021:

Mainly an accessory patch for the European dragon. Added over 10 different accessories/horns and wing claw colors.
Fixed bird volume being independent of sound volume

Patch notes v13 1/11/2021

Added "special" codes! Soon, pop-culture dragons will be added. Suggest some!

Moved some European horns and adjusted depth to try and address some drawing problems

Added a few more horn options for the european

You can now access horns/accessories that were indexed above 10

Fixed sprint toggle not working if you toggle mid room transition

Poop will no longer cause a crash/corrupt a save file if you save poop while it is landing on other poop:pooper:
skull helmet stays on head during crouch animation

you can no longer spam the bath audio

Fixed teleport back to town entrance if you visit the shrine with your dragon, but do not take a new one home

rapidly clicking the barn doors while to the right no longer forces you inside the barn

Lightened the fancy saddle so its more white

centered the options menu

added artist credits to main menu


Patch Notes v14 1/12/2021

You now stay mounted after exiting minigames and leaving town/calendar

Game auto-pauses if you alt tab or minimize

Fixed boot graphical bug with a certain hair style

Added stat buff visual indicators to battle. Red triangles up is a buff. Blue triangles down is a debuff
Added stat buff summary to battle. Hover over your name, or your enemy's name to see them

Adjusted how lingering battle effects, such as hide cloud, smokescreen, darkness, and poison cloud work. Enemies that have a "Hide spam" AI will need a re-balance after this change.
Attempted to fix pause surface crash. Havent seen the crash again in my testing.
Dragons will now go to sleep if you leave them unattended for 20 minutes, rather than two hours.
Lighting has been added to the barn and player home. Ambient sounds will now be half as loud inside structures

You shouldnt be able to disable toggle sprint while loading the tutorial anymore

You can no longer exit the quit game fade if you spam click right mouse button

Equation to calculate where to pick up poop/forage food is changed so you shouldnt walk into walls when trying to walk to them.
Fog should no longer appear during storms



Hotfix Patch v15:

You should no longer teleport to your dragon when returning from town without it, or returning from town after making a new dragon.
Any dragons that got stuck inside walls due to this bug should be pushed out of them.


Patch Notes v16 1/14/2021

Lung and Cat dragon have been shaded.

Lung has received new face, back, horn, and ear options.
Dragons should no longer get pushed out of walls if it is outside a building

You can no longer click poop or forage items while mounting/dismounting

You can walk past the barn after opening the door, and it wont push you inside if you go too far

Dragon walking animation should no longer reset mid frame. Dragons will walk a bit after letting go of the arrow keys however.

You should no longer be able to take the hose or soap outside the bath minigame. Same with their sounds.

New special codes for the european have been added


Patch Notes v17 1/15/2021:

Added some cat options like ear tufts and moustaches

Added a few special seeds for the lung and cat.

Dragon will now regain sleep if you go to bed between 7 and 8am. Other bars will drain properly as well

Added X's to menus that close the menu, in addition to right clicking.
Changed the cleanliness icon to bubbles, and changed the happiness icon to a smiling face.
Added patch number to upper right corner of main menu

Moved saving indicator egg to upper left corner

Added a gradient background to the shrine.

You should be mounted after returning from towns and after completing battles again

Custom code generation has been altered to increase range of dragon breeds created. Aside from special codes, custom codes are no longer case sensitive


Patch Notes V18 1/16/2021:

Dragon snores are no longer heard in areas without ambient sound

AI improvement. AI will no longer spam the same attack over and over, and they shouldn't get stuck if you aren't within range. They now move based on the move they plan to use next turn as well.
Apple fix. You no longer get apples unless you pick them up.

Dragons should no longer walk forward after mini-games

Daily dragon events(like recovering from sickness or resetting pet) now reactivate on a new day

Ambient sounds should update properly after loading, regardless if you were in a minigame or in a storm

Fog will no longer spawn during stormy weather

Dojo scrollseller will now display locked moves, and show what rank they are available
