The beginning of the stamina mini-game
This week I took a bit of a breather from Dragon Creek. I made a prototype for a game called Flap Demon, a precision platformer with flappy-bird movement mechanics. I'll probably be working on it back and forth over the next month to try and publish it and bring in a bit of revenue to support Dragon Creek.
I did still manage to get the stamina mini-game, the hamster-wheel, started. Looking at how all the sprites aren't really made for the round floor of the hamster-wheel, it may look better on a treadmill? I may explore that but I did spend a lot of time of the art for the hamster-wheel. Oh well. The plan is to have the player press the left and right movement buttons in quick succession, slowing down the pressing speed to regain stamina. The total distance traveled after the game as a ratio of possible distance will determine the success of the training.
