Back to Dragon Creek!
After spending a few weeks mostly focusing on getting out Flap Demon, I have returned to Dragon Creek! I managed to get the stamina mini-game more or less complete today, and over the coming days I will be moving onto new mini-games.
I'm going to try and get Flap Demon onto steam by the end of the week, so there may be a few days this week I fix bugs found in alpha. However I want to get back to my main project. Most people on twitter and discord are following me for Dragon Creek anyway.
The stamina mini-game is largely inspired by the fishing mini-game in stardew valley. You need to rapidly click to move the bar into a favorable spot to succeed at the minigame. Initially I had a stamina bar that would decrease as you tapped the arrow keys, but I felt the game had too many things going on at once. It felt like it was conflicting with its own purpose. Do you want me to match the speed zone? D you want me to keep my stamina high? In the end I scrapped the stamina and kept the basic zone matching. Much more enjoyable.
